This is a necklace extremely similar to the one Steve Vai wears. His original chain is woven sterling silver wire while my design is made with stainless steel (or titanium) using the JPL twist weave. The larger rings are welded and the clasp matches the metal - so no part of this will rust or tarnish even if worn in saltwater or chlorine.

The handmade chain measures 32 inches and the welded rings add an extra 3 inches to that. It clasps to any of the three welded rings depending how you want to rock this bad boy.

This necklace is now available in titanium! Titanium is 40% lighter weight than stainless steel but also crazy-strong. Titanium chains will be made using all custom hand-cut rings and have a more satin-level shine to it. Titanium is also available in a dark charcoal grey/black tone. I use polished hand-cut hardened stainless and titanium rings made by Josh Diliberto - not the "soft" steel or plated metal rings you see at Hot Topic or the Harley store. This thing is crazy-strong!
